October 2, 2007—As racing action screams towards a close for 2007, StopTech customers around the world begin collecting the spoils of another successful season.

Having led the 2007 UK Time Attack series all year on StopTech’s front 328x28mm brake kit, Phil Glew and ZEN Performance were crowned outright series champions at Brands Hatch on Sunday, September 2nd 2007. ZEN won the finals by a solid 1.196s margin over second place, tallying 40 points on the season which was 6 points ahead of main rivals Roger Clark Motorsport. In domestic action, we’ve had two victories in as many weekends. The first was at Spring Mountain Nevada two weeks ago, where JC Meynet was crowned the winner of both Street Class and Mod Class of the Tuner Shootout while running StopTech’s front 332mm Balanced Brake System: www.tunershootout.com

JC won the Street Tire Class Time Attack by a staggering 5 seconds, installed his class spec Nitto NT01s, and proceeded to win the Mod Class by just under 1 second. When questioned about his StopTech’s performance, JC said, “Those StopTech brakes are flawless! I never had to do anything to them all weekend and I even have about 50% pad left. They really saved my butt a few times when I overcooked an entry…I couldn't have asked for anything better about them!”

This past weekend, Tyler McQuarrie, piloting the Hankook Tire / JIC USA Porsche 911 captured the overall win, Unlimited Class 1st Place, and Rear Wheel Drive Unlimited 1st Place at the Redline Time Attack at Summit Point, crushing the track lap record by multiple seconds in the process. Driving the JIC S15 Silvia, Tanner Foust was also able to score a 3rd Place Overall, and place 2nd in the Rear Wheel drive category.
