Torrance, Calif--It was a spectacular weekend for Team Bimmerworld at the World Challenge Drift Atlanta races. James Clay, Bimmerworld owner and driver of the #36 BMW 325i, won race one and finished second in race two. His teammates, Matt Richmond and Seth Thomas, finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the second race. All three racecars use the StopTech Balanced brake system. Three of the top four cars were on StopTech brake systems.

In race one, Clay started in the second position but fell to third after the first lap. After making his way back into second, Clay continued to cut Bob Stretch’s lead down on each lap. “I was braking late into every corner trying to catch up to Bob,” said Clay, who finally seized the opportunity to take the lead on the 14th lap. Two laps later he took his first World Challenge checkered flag. Matt Richmond, in his #37 325i, started fourth and held that position the entire race.

Starting in the pole position but falling quickly behind, Clay battled back for the lead position but could not hold onto it. Clay finished second with his teammates, Richmond and Thomas, a close second and third respectively. Thomas won the B&M Holeshot award and the Sunoco Hard Charger award winner for advancing 13 positions.
