For: Immediate Release     Date: July 15, 2004    Contact: Robert Lee

Torrance, Calif--As more and more race teams and drivers prove that StopTech’s high performance brake technologies slow you down faster, the company’s sales growth is accelerating rapidly.

With dominating recent performances on the race track, and road tests wins in trusted, leading auto magazines, market acceptance of StopTech products is reaching new heights, driving strong new sales demand in North America, Europe and around the world. As a result, StopTech has recently begun an extensive expansion of its Torrance, California facilities: The company has taken over an adjacent building, nearly doubling the total square footage. The expansion will profoundly impact both production capacity and inventory storage, and will also allow a significant increase in development and testing capabilities in all product categories.

Robert Lee, Partner and GM, is encouraged by the growth, and optimistic about the company’s outlook: “Our goal was to set a new standard in technology for brake upgrade systems used on the street and track. The growth we’re seeing now is proof that we are succeeding in achieving the goal; our products are increasingly trusted and sought after by race teams and driving enthusiasts who want legitimate performance improvement. StopTech has established itself as the world leader in Balanced brake upgrades™.” On the company’s current facilities expansion, he adds, “The increase in space will dramatically improve our ability to maintain inventory depth, and fulfill customer orders on time”.

Market acceptance of StopTech in Europe and other world markets has been a major contributing factor in the recent growth. There are now a total of thirty-four international StopTech distributors (including Canada), fourteen of them having been added this year alone. Even with such growth, the company sees this as only the beginning of a larger trend. Natasha Burkoff, who resides in Switzerland and manages International Sales, states, “We are just getting started in Europe, and the response to StopTech has been even more positive than I expected. Our two main competitors here have strong brands and a home court advantage, but people are very interested in new solutions that offer better performance at a competitive price.”

When asked to expand on key factors for StopTech’s growth abroad, Burkoff added, “Our distributors who previously sold competitive products are the strongest we have. They completely understand the technology in our kits, and the first time they open one of our boxes, they fully appreciate the level of quality we deliver. At the consumer level, although StopTech is not as well known in Europe as we are in the US, our reputation does seem to precede us. We have such a positive reputation on US message boards, for example, that it carries over globally. Many Europeans read the US message boards and are aware of our race wins and magazine performance test wins. This lends a great deal of credibility.”

StopTech recently received two TÜV certifications in Germany, an important milestone, and will follow this with a promotional press tour there. Promotional activities are also scheduled for UK, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. In European racing, StopTech is currently running on three cars in the well-known German VLN series.

In addition to recent race wins and podiums in major racing series such as the Speed World Challenge, the demand for StopTech products has been propelled by clear road-test victories in respected, widely read magazines. Of particular importance, the StopTech Balanced Brake Systems™ used by the top race teams are the same setups available for street use, and tested by the magazines. Among the road-test highlights:
