Torrance, Calif-- StopTech is proud to present contingency awards to David Farmer in GT Class and to Roger Foo in the Touring Class for their top-10 performances at Lime Rock, May 23-26, 2003 using StopTech Brake Systems.

David knows the StopTech brake system to be reliable, durable and an advantage over other braking systems after putting it through a grueling 2002 racing season. “I’m really happy with StopTech,” said David, who is running StopTech’s again this year. “They are a real asset. They exhibit no brake fade and I get a lot of life out of them.”

David started Lime Rock at 12th and in the course of the 30 laps moved up four positions in his #35 Corvette Z06. “StopTech’s really make a difference when passing under braking,” he said. He finished the race 8th and never gave up a position. Farmer is currently seventh in points.

Roger Foo finished 14th in the 2002 Touring Car season and expects to do better this year with another season behind him and some modifications to his car. One of the larger modifications was outfitting his #88 Mazda Protégé with StopTech’s Touring Car Racing Kit, which consists of StopTech’s World Challenge 322x28mm AeroRotors® that conform to Touring specs, ST40 calipers and stainless steel brake lines.

At Lime Rock, Foo started 10th and by the seventh lap he had passed four cars for sixth. On lap 15, turn 3, he went into the mud and maintained course but only after falling back to 12th position. For the next 12 laps Foo battled his way pass four cars to finish eighth. “Braking played a critical role in passing,” he said. “I was able to make passes under braking that I couldn’t do before with other systems.” Foo is currently fifth in points.
